The Virginia Holocaust Museum (VHM) and the Virginia Museum of
History & Culture (VMHC) are the two primary agencies collaborating
to bring Violins of Hope to Richmond and Central Virginia. The very
existence of these violins tell the stories of, and honors, the individuals
who experienced one of history’s darkest times.
The Virginia Holocaust Museum presents the history of the Holocaust through the experiences of Survivors who made Virginia their home. The Virginia Museum of History and Culture connects their visitors to America’s past through Virginia’s history. Both institutions make it their mission to inspire future generations of Virginians through education and preservation.
